Cleaning Amtico Flooring

Amtico flooring is a dream to maintain primarily because it really doesn't require you to clean it frequently. Unlike a real wood floor, Amtico does not need contact polishing and is much more resistant to scratches and marking.

How Resistant Is Amtico To Scratching?
Amtico is protected by a tough layer that is scratch resistant. Even moving furniture across the floor will not mark it, as long as you don't drag a really heavy object across the floor on sandpaper!
Everyday Cleaning
Amtico is a non-intensive maintenance floor. Cleaning the floor is easy and can be acheived by sweeping the floor or hoovering in order to remove dust and hairs. If you would like to bring up a shine you can easily mop the floor without any concern for warping.
Removing Dark Rubber Marks
This is a common issue that affects most had floors, from laminates to tiles. The great thing about Amtico is that it is non-porous so it is easy to remove these marks. Most can be removed by simply rubbing them off gently, but the more persistent marks can be removed with some floor cleaner and a damp cloth.
Isn't Amtico Waterproof?
Yes, a properly laid Amtico floor will be entirely waterproof and will not be damaged by liquid spills. Therefore, cleaning with mops and typical household cleaning products is fine.
